The Easter Vigil, celebrated on Holy Saturday night, begins in darkness, symbolizing the tomb, and progresses to light with the lighting of the Paschal candle, representing Christ’s resurrection. The service includes readings that recount salvation history starting with creation, the baptism of new believers, and the first celebration of the Eucharist since Holy Thursday. It is a night of great joy, marking the passage from death to life and proclaiming that Christ has risen. We join together in the Garden of the Good Shepherd at 8pm with the lighting of candles. We will then walk to the columbarium hearing the word of the Lord. We will proceed to the Sanctuary to end our service
