The “adult” Choir rehearses weekly on Thursday evenings from 7:00- 8:15 p.m., and is certainly not only open to adults! High school and even interested middle school students are welcome to sing with this ensemble. This choir sings weekly, alternating between the 8 and 9:30 a.m. worship services, and sings at additional festival worship services. We enjoy learning a variety of music, and preparing pieces that include other choirs and/or instrumentation. There is always a space for more voices, we would love to have you join us!
KOG is blessed with children - adults that play a musical instrument, whether they are just learning or have played for decades. Incorporating instruments is always a wonderful addition to our worship experiences and music. Our brass ensemble plays for festival and other worship services, and we have enjoyed flute, clarinet, violin and other instruments at a variety of worship services as well. Rehearsals are scheduled as needed and as they work with the musicians’ schedules. We are always looking to include more musicians, so please let me know if you play an instrument and would like to participate in this way.
The KOG House Band rehearses weekly, and leads the 11 a.m. contemporary worship experience through their music and message. Vocalists, keys, acoustic and electric guitars, percussion, bass and other instrumentalists are welcome!
Our handbell choir is a versatile (and fun!) group that is open to musicians of different levels and experiences. We rehearse weekly on Thursdays from 5:30 - 6:45 p.m., and ring in worship approximately every six weeks, plus festival services. The Handbell Choir rings solo pieces, as well as combined pieces with the vocal choirs and other instrumental ensembles.
