Music & Worship Ministries

“All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to the LORD, and all the families of the nations shall worship before you.”

~Psalm 22:27~

Music is an integral part of our worship life at King of Glory.  Each ensemble listed here provides an opportunity for all of God’s children - people of every age, background and musical experience - to offer their gifts and talents as an expression of faith as we proclaim God’s Word through song.

What a privilege to come together as brothers and sisters in Christ, edifying and glorifying His Name as we prepare and share a variety of music with all who worship as God’s Gathered Guests.

Kids Praise!

A vocal choir for children ages Kindergarten - 5th grade.  This choir meets Wednesday evenings from 5:30 - 6 p.m. during the school year, and prepares music for worship. Kids Praise sings a variety of music at our different worship services throughout the year, approximately once a month.  We have fun and learn all at the same time!  Season: October - May (in conjunction with the Growing Points schedule) Contact Christa Stec with any questions.

Youth Chorale

Youth Chorale is a vocal choir for Middle - High School ages.  This ensemble currently rehearses on Sunday mornings from 10:45 - 11:05 a.m., and prepares music to sing for worship and festival services.  They sing as a solo ensemble, work on part singing, and also sing larger works with the Adult Choir and Kids Praise throughout the school year.  Season: October - May (in conjunction with the Growing Points schedule) Contact Christa Stec with any questions.

Family Band

This group provides a wonderful opportunity to assist in leading worship at the 10:45 a.m. Sunday Family Service through music. Open to people of all ages and musical experiences: vocalists, percussion, keyboard and other instrumentalists welcome!  Rehearsals are generally Monday evenings, 5 - 5:45 p.m.  Season: year-round. Contact Dan Stec with any questions.

Praise Band

The KOG Praise Band rehearses weekly on Tuesday evenings, and leads the 11 a.m. contemporary worship experience through their music and message.  Vocalists, keys, acoustic and electric guitars, percussion, bass and other instrumentalists are welcome!  Season: year-round. Contact Christa Stec with any questions.

Handbell Choir

Our handbell choir is a versatile (and fun!) group that is open to musicians of different levels and experiences.  We rehearse weekly on Tuesdays from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m., and ring in worship approximately every six weeks, plus festival services.  The Handbell Choir rings solo pieces, as well as combined pieces with the vocal choirs and other instrumental ensembles.  Season: the week after Labor Day - Pentecost Sunday. Contact Christa Stec with any questions.

KOG Choir

The “adult” Choir rehearses weekly on Wednesday evenings from 7:30 - 9 p.m., and is certainly not only open to adults!  High school and even interested middle school students are welcome to sing with this ensemble.  This choir sings weekly, alternating between the 8 and 9:30 a.m. worship services, and sings at additional festival worship services.   We enjoy learning a variety of music, and preparing pieces that include other choirs and/or instrumentation.  There is always a space for more voices, we would love to have you join us!  Season: the week after Labor Day - Pentecost Sunday. Contact Christa Stec with any questions.

Brass Ensemble & Instrumentalists

KOG is blessed with children - adults that play a musical instrument, whether they are just learning or have played for decades.  Incorporating instruments is always a wonderful addition to our worship experiences and music.  Our brass ensemble plays for festival and other worship services, and we have enjoyed flute, clarinet, violin and other instruments at a variety of worship services as well.  Rehearsals are scheduled as needed and as they work with the musicians’ schedules.  We are always looking to include more musicians, so please let me know if you play an instrument and would like to participate in this way.  Season: year-round as needed and scheduled. Contact Christa Stec with any questions.
